Organic Material Design and Synthesis
Conjugated polymers have been offered as alternatives to inorganic semiconductors, with a rich design space afforded by their synthetic modularity. I am interested in controlling (opto)electronic behavior of these materials through synthetic design.
I am interested in leveraging advancements in polymer chemistry and material science to develop sensitive and selective sensing technologies for healthcare, environmental, and defense applications which require operation in complex environments.
Advanced Biomaterial Design for Bioelectronics
The next generation of bioelectronic technologies offer solutions for drug delivery, regenerative engineering, and healthcare monitoring. I am interested in developing organic electroactive biomaterials to converge modern electronics with living tissue.
Organic Material-Derived Emitters for Biomedical Imaging
Materials with strong infrared emission underpin next-generation biomedical imaging technologies such as fluorescence image-guided surgery. We are developing ultrabright, biocompatible, tunable emitters.
